D.O.N. Issue #3- This was the launch color way for the Issue 3 shoe. The colors and graphics are inspired by the park where Donovan Mitchell first dunked in competition, on an outdoor court in NYC that hosts some distinctive murals. We innovated a few new executions on this shoe that made it a really fun project to work on.

D.O.N. Issue #2- For Donovan Mitchell, “D.O.N.” stands for “Determination Over Negativity”, so it is important to him to tell uplifting stories. Since his mother is an educator, we partnered with Crayola to create a fun pack of bright shoes with classic Crayola graphic elements. The launch of this shoe coincided with Donovan and adidas donating 90k to the education of Jacob Blake’s children.

D.O.N. Issue #2- Donovan’s nickname is “Spida” and he loves Spiderman, so much of the D.O.N. #2 was spent collaborating with Marvel. The Iron Spider suit from “Far From Home” launched the Model with an outsole representing Donovan’s travels, followed by Carnage, Venom, and Gwen Stacy- All with their own unique materializations.

D.O.N. Issue #2- Donovan Mitchell is a proud alum of Louisville, so I always make him a Cardinals color way. For this one, I used the Dunking Bird, which is at center court in Louisville. I was actually lucky enough to get the chance to re-illustrate the dunking bird on the bottom of this shoe (accurately to the original, of course), so it remains a favorite project of mine.

D.O.N. Issue #1- This was Donovan’s first Signature shoe. It also played heavily into the “Spider Man” theme, with multiple color ways dedicated to different characters: Classic Spider-Man, Stealth Spider, Iron Spider, and Symbiote.
